Join us at our next meeting for a Climate Action Extravaganza on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at 7pm

Location: Edith Stone Room, Albany Community Center,

1247 Marin Ave, Albany, CA

Berkeley City Council Member Kate Harrison will be our keynote speaker to talk about her first-in-the-nation ordinance to ban the use of natural gas in new construction. She will talk about the challenges and opportunities she has seen while working on the ordinance.

Note that the ordinance will be heard at Berkeley City Council on July 16th should you wish to attend.

Additionally we will hear from representatives of Albany’s Climate Action Committee and the Albany Climate Action Coalition on their recent work and priorities. Albany’s new draft Climate Action and Adaptation Plan (CAAP) is out in draft form and comments are due to the City the day after the meeting (July 19).

Finally, we will hear from representatives from East Bay Community Energy (EBCE) about their initiatives and recent contracts for new clean energy facilities to power cities who have joined EBCE.

Come for a great night of presentations and discussions of Climate Initiatives!
